Mike Elmore

Mike Elmore is the principal, owner, president, and CEO of Sun Mountain, a California-based company dedicated to providing both professional and field services to the energy and civil infrastructure industries. Outside of his professional life, Mike Elmore is a fan of rock music and is particularly fond of AC/DC.

On November 18th, 2017, AC/DC and the music world at large lost a legendary figure when the band’s co-founder and rhythm guitarist, Malcolm Young, passed away. Young, who was 64 years old at the time of his death, died from complications related to dementia. According to the BBC, Young passed peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones. Malcolm Young is the second Young brother tied to AC/DC to have passed, following his brother George, the band’s producer.

Malcolm’s funeral took place in late November in Sydney, Australia, where band members past and present paid their respects to the rock legend. Attendees included Malcolm’s brother Angus, who also co-founded the band, along with singer Brian Johnson, drummer Phil Rudd, and bassists Mark Evans and Cliff Williams.
In a statement, Angus Young praised Malcolm, calling him the “driving force” behind their success. He went on to say that his brother left behind “an enormous legacy that will live on forever.”
